MEGAPRO gets hands on with “Do It Day” 2008|
Greater Good South Africa (GGSA), an online social marketplace for people who want to make a difference, host an annual opportunity for South Africans to unite in positive community action know as “Do It Day”.
Top students at Doornbosch Primary School are considered for these bursaries each year.
MEGAPRO participates in an educational bursary programme which has the potential of offering two fully paid bursaries to attend Bekker High School.
Investing in South Africa’s youth
Recognising the need to support South Africa’s youth, MEGAPRO invests in sport and educational projects with the objective of uplifting educational standards, connecting youth with the benefits of sport and providing a source of focus and engagement for tomorrow’s leaders.
Following form last years efforts to refurbish the Boys & Girls Town cricket nets, MEGAPRO Holdings planned an incentive excursion for 20 boys from Girls and Boys Town to attend the 3rd day of the final Castle Lager Test Match played at Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.
The boys had the opportunity to view this exciting test match in a suite, where the Proteas reigned supreme against the English. Some MEGAPRO staff hosted the boys on the day and enjoyed the cricket action together.
The boys were selected to attend the match based on a reward system. MEGAPRO has a strong belief in incentive based projects to assist in teaching the boys discipline and being rewarded for hard work towards a goal. The MEGAPRO team look forward to many more events of this nature in the future.
“Our extended thanks to all of the MEGAPRO Team for providing Girls & Boys Town with this fabulous opportunity and putting such huge smiles on all the boys faces.” Merilyn Pick, Principal, Girls & Boys Town, Magaliesburg.
