MEGAPRO signs up CIB as Associate Sponsor to Vodacom Super Rugby
At an announcement made at Primedia Sport, Media City in Sandton on 31 January 2012, The South African Rugby Union (SARU) welcomed CIB Insurance Administrators (CIB) in their new capacity. CIB has signed a new three year partnership deal as an associate sponsor to Vodacom Super Rugby as of this year.
MEGAPRO Marketing played an instrumental role in facilitating the sponsorship deal and the announcement was made at an event hosted by MEGAPRO and attended by both SARU and CIB representatives.
Andy Marinos, General Manager: Commercial and Marketing of SARU said, “We are excited to add CIB to our sponsorship family and look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship with a partner that is enthusiastic about rugby and the sustainability of the game.”
CIB’s renewed investment in the sport is testimony to the appeal of Vodacom Super Rugby as one of the top sporting competitions in South Africa and also to the return on investment that CIB has experienced in associating with SARU and its brands.
Frans Nel, Head of Marketing at CIB, commented that although CIB has been involved with Vodacom Super Rugby over the past four years, the new sponsorship agreement for the 2012 season is at a significantly enhanced level.
"The association of our brand and that of Vodacom Super Rugby makes sense for many reasons. We believe this new sponsorship deal will take our brand exposure to even greater heights," said Nel.
